With being one of the younger siblings of her family, came a great deal of freedom and with it the ability to grow into what she chose. Indrani chose to wander, rarely heeding the words of others and brushing them off (so it seemed) until it was known that she had a tendency to not hear them and forget she had been warned about the places she dared to venture. It taught her though, how to move and exist so precisely in the world she lived in, but it also left the lass with a great deal of admiration and love for the world, and Indrani was endlessly cheerful and kind but driven to be better than her sisters in some way, and this led to her singing. Such a vocation, along with her artistic endeavours, meant she had to learn and continue to always learn. Yet it seems she never did, and she never seemed to want to learn from past mistakes. Despite her depth in her art, Indrani does not see below the surface and she makes swift calls about others she meets in her life, and in turn is oblivious to any judgment cast upon her. Whether this is a good or bad trait, Indrani doesn’t know and wrapped in her personal bubble, she has very little cares in the world.
When she was a young adult, she got her wish - her singing, and it was what she became known for. She was oblivious in her little world when she was with them, speaking of what she’d learned and where in a delicate and happy singsong voice, oblivious to anything else. Her tendency to ignore warnings had blossomed and left Indrani with a narrow-minded and selfish view- as long as she was happy, others must be as well, and it was all that concerned her. Just to be happy, and make others happy, until she died.
She would often sing for her eldest sister, and for her family in Court. It was Anandi who hooked her into coming to the surface and so she had made her way upwards, taking small journeys from time to time until she was spending longer at the surface and even lifting her head above the waves.
Eventually, Indrani found a strength that she stole, not caring whose it was before, that allowed her to walk upon limbs. Legs were strange, hard to handle and so she felt like she would fall. Outwardly, she tried to make it seem like she was taking clear and precise steps, moving with a strange, sinuous elegance on befitting a kelpie. And so she ventured out for the first time.
She would come once more, before deciding she wanted to see more and know more. There was much to see, and many to meet and sing for and make happy - and make herself shine bright. The land was waiting - and Indrani was eager.
