Radek is of average height and believe me, it is the only thing about him that is average. He is never seen with his head low, in fact he probably doesn't even know what his hooves look like. But those gawking at him from the sidelines sure do. At 14.2 hands, his long tail drags across the ground but is always meticulously groomed and never tangled. Perhaps that is due to the fact that he has feathers instead of hair. Large in size and vibrant in colour, his tail is akin to that of a peacock, and much like the bird, he is able to erect and splay his tail feathers to create the perfect backdrop to his handsome face. His nose is long and his features sharp and his stunning blue eyes are set perfectly to draw attention. If he doesn't want you to, it is impossible to break your gaze.

His mane is always perfectly draped to one side of his neck with ne'er a stray hair in sight. His mane is a mixture of white hair and peacock feathers. His body is muscular but in a lean way that makes you wonder if he tries to look good or if it just happens naturally. Many a fan have debated over his coat's colour. Some say it is blue, others green, but it truly depends on the light and the angle upon which you gaze at him. Perhaps there are even some purples tones mixed int hat really give him that fully breathtaking appearance. His hooves are perfectly circled by another mixture of white hair and peacock feathers to create the aptly named feathering trademarked to Vanners.

Radek is your stereotypical 'too cute for his own good, ditzy airhead, but oh so hot' types. He is pretty straigh- shooting, he doesn't typically understand when someone is being sarcastic and he takes others at face value. If they say they did something, they did it. He doesn't understand the benefits people have in lieing. Of course, stretching the truth is what makes a good story but every story is based in the truth and that is the principle he sticks to.

Having come from a long line of beloved bards and thespians, he grew up in the spotlight and has never stepped outside of it. As such, he isn't used to people who don't know his name or don't like him. He is far to used to walking into any area and instantly having everyone fawn over him and his fame. So much so that when it happens, he makes himself look like more of an ass by not believing the situation is as it is. 'But you have to recognize me...I'm me!' Luckily, that situation does not come up often.

He spends as much time as possible looking at his own reflection. Vein doesn't even begin to cover it. He spends more time looking at himself and grooming and preening then he does eating. And before you ask, no he doesn't work out. He is just naturally that lean and powerful.

But below all the vanity and cockiness, he has a genuine heart. He takes his job as a Bard very seriously and believes it is his Tempus-given duty to retell the grandiose stories of the past. And he will travel to every end of this world and the next to hear and retell those stories to anyone who will listen. He cares genuinely for his family and his fans and he knows that without horses to listen to his stories, there would be no reason to tell them. He is thankful for those that adore him and he will happily take any opportunity to spend time with (and be adored by) his fans.

Bardic tradition is a long and rich history in and of itself and there is no traveling storyteller more famous the Gildern the Great. With a booming voice and a smile to match, he has traveled to every corner of the world, doing amazing acts of battle and feats of strength, then telling everyone about his many amazing accomplishments. He gathered fan after fan who would travel for miles just to hear him regale his tales of years past. And one oh-so-lucky mare was able to catch his eye and soon, the lovely pair had a daughter.

Radek was born two years after his elder sister and she couldn't have been happier for his arrival (she was not the spotlight-living kind of horse). Since nearly the day of his birth, Radek was quickly the charismatic, adorable child who was so like his father that there was no question in the world who he was. He was told stories of his father's conquests since before he can remember and was soon as he was old enough to speak, he was always doing so. He wanted nothing more than to follow in his father's hoofsteps.

Making use of his large, toothy smile, Radek quickly learned how to use his tools of the trade and it seamed Radek had a natural talent for it. As soon as his mother allowed him to, he was joining his father on the road. Although the quests were now less of the adventures and more of the retellings (which is probably the only reason she allowed the accompaniment)

However the more time Radek spent with his father on the road, the more obvious it became that it wouldn't be long before he inherited his father's fan base. Gildern was growing older and soon, travel became hard on him. Radek promised he would continue to tell of his father's grand adventures, but he didn't want to stop there. So he traveled and he told but he also listened and spoke with other great warriors and scholars and gained their permission to tell of their great deeds. While Radek belongs to the Day Court by birth, he fancies himself more of a wanderer as he never spends much time at home. He is always on the road, looking for the next great story and telling the last.
