     A P P E A R A N C E
Colors: White, black, gold, red.

Face: The girl's face is completely devoid of color, a pristine white that stretches down her neck toward her chest. Her eyes, inherited from her mother's lineage, are crimson in color with a very faint pupil. In the middle of her forehead she sports a spiraled horn that begins white and ends in gold.

Build: Requiem's build favors that of her mother's rather than her father's. She is tall and lithe, well muscled yet still she still manages to appear delicate. Her legs are long and well defined, each one dipped in gold and adorned with cloven hooves.

Wings: Her wings are large and eagle-like in appearance. Each appendage is covered in glossy black feathers that gradually shift to gold.

Hair: Both her mane and tail start out black as pitch at the roots, but the strands shift and fade to gold at the tips. The strands themselves almost appear metallic in the sunlight, but it is simply a trick of the light. For the most part her hair is well kept, but occasionally she'll tuck flowers within the strands.

Body: Her body is splotched in patches of bright white, midnight black, and metallic gold. She has no notable scars on her body.

Timid: As a child, when meeting someone for the first time, she would often hide behind her twin brother and peer over his back until she was comfortable. For a while this timidness followed her into adulthood, but as she forged new friendships and made a home for herself she began to grow more confident in herself. Now she is not so scared of meeting anyone new, but can still be a bit reserved.

Gentle: There truly is not a mean bone in her body. Requiem is of the mindset that everyone has some trial that they are going through, and life is difficult enough without making it harder on anyone by being unnecessarily mean.

Quiet: Requiem can spend hours at a time without saying much of anything at all. She prefers listening to the sounds of the forest -- birdsong, rustling leaves, and cricket chirps -- to holding making small talk about the weather and whatnot, though she is not a terrible conversationalist. Sometimes she can be heard humming quietly to herself while she forages.

Observant: There's very little that escapes Requiem's attention, but that is to be expected having grown up in a place where everything either wants to kill you or eat you.

Reserved: Requiem is usually very in control of her emotions and doesn't typically impose her opinions on anyone that she doesn't know.

Intelligent: She loves to learn new things and is always studying the plant life around her. Her love for growing and nurturing plants lead her to learning about their individual and unique medicinal properties and how they are used. She dries her own herbs and even makes her own medicines out of them.

Temper: Exceptionally slow to anger, but is known to hold grudges against those who wrong her terribly.

Expressive: Those who get to know Requiem and that she is comfortable around will come to find that, often, what she's thinking or feeling is reflected in her expressions.

Helovia:
Requiem was the second born of a set of twins, born to Ranjiri and Dragomir in Helovia. The land itself was ravaged by war, strife, and complete chaos and it was all Requiem knew from the moment she was born. Her first memories are of her standing beside her mother and father, watching as a being known as Kaos systematically destroyed the land that would have been her home. The last she saw was her father herding her, her mother, her sister, and her brothers toward a portal that was to be their savior.

The Rift:

The Rift was a terrifying place for a young foal to be alone in. At first Requiem panicked and ran around screaming for her parents and when neither of them answered her calls her panic grew. She eventually found a stallion who had been thrown from Helovia and he attempted to help her find her family. He was unsuccessful, but he did manage to find a mare with a foal of her own that was willing to take Requiem on until she was old enough to be weaned.

Shortly after Requiem weaned she abandoned the mare and began searching for her family again. She never was successful and thus spent her childhood growing up in the wilds of The Rift. It was during this time that she discovered that she had been blessed with magic. She had the ability to summon a rain that made the plants around her grow faster along with the ability to create and craft with glass. She spent a great deal of time wandering and fiddling with her magic.
She was standing alone at the beach one day, using the sand there to create small glass trinkets when she met Mortimer. His appearance was surprising, but his interest in what she was doing helped to dispel her timid response. She never did tell him how she was creating the glass baubles, but she did show him. Requiem did not expect, at that point, that Mortimer would end up being one of her closest friends, but he did. The pair stuck together as they wandered the Rift and Requiem often made small trinkets for Mortimer. It was not uncommon to find him with small glass flowers strewn throughout his hair.

Caeleste:

Unceremoniously ousted from the Rift, Requiem tumbles head over heels into Caeleste with Mortimer. The idea of starting a new life in a new land is daunting, but she is able to find solace in the fact that Mortimer is with her.

Requiem ends up separated from Mortimer and is forced to make her own way in Caeleste alone. Unwittingly she finds an orphaned calf -- Fergus -- who becomes her companion and she raises him and keeps him safe. She finds and befriends a mare called Nymphadora and, together, the two of them open and run an apothecary shop. During this time she also meets Fang and develops a friendship with him. The apothecary is burned down when leadership of the meadows changes hands and Requiem is forced to flee. She goes north and finds herself looking for refuge in the mountains. The Empress Castiella takes her in and she is allowed to refurbish an old greenhouse. She remained there until darkness fell over Caeleste and she was forced to flee once more.

Active & Parvus Magic

WATER x EARTH Tier One:
Gifted with the ability to summon rain imbued with a unique property, Requiem is now able to pull moisture from the atmosphere to create a gentle rain. The rain, at first glance, might not seem like much but it has special properties that allows Requiem to increase the growth rate of plants. As of this moment, the rain extends in a three meter radius, centered around Requiem and the plants are able to grow 1-2 inches over the span of five hours. It takes some time and concentration for Requiem to gather enough moisture from the atmosphere to produce the rain and she is only able to keep the rain falling for thirty minutes at a time. She must rest for several hours before she is able to use the magic again, or she risks light headedness, nosebleeds, and unconsciousness.
Tier Two:
Requiem's ability grows stronger as she learns to wield and control it. It takes a tad bit less effort for her to pull moisture from the atmosphere and create the rain she has come to know and love. The rain is still centered on Requiem but its range has increased from three meters to five meters. The earth property of the water has also gained strength. Plants that are showered in this unique rain now grow 2-3 inches over the span of four hours. The timespan of the rainfall, however, has not increased, so Requiem can still only control it for thirty minutes at a time. Trying to hold onto the rain for any longer than that takes an extreme amount of concentration and will result in headaches and nosebleeds. She still must wait for several hours and rest before she can use the magic again or she risks extreme headaches and lightheadedness.
Tier Three:
Requiem grows stronger as the days pass and so does her magic. She can more easily pull moisture from the atmosphere and create her rain. It continues to be centered around Requiem and has increased from five meters to seven meters in every direction around her. Now, however, as she walks the rain follows her path and she is able to water an even larger area. Growth rate has increased to 4-5 inches over the span of four hours. She is now able to maintain control over the rain for a length of 45 minutes, though she can push for a longer timeframe with less repercussions than before. She must wait a minimum of three hours before trying to use her magic again or she will suffer from headaches and fatigue.
Tier Four:
Requiem has finally reached the final tier of her magic and it is nearly effortless for her. She can pull moisture from the atmosphere quickly and easily and create her magic rain. It is centered around her still and extends ten meters in every direction. It still follows her wherever she walks and the growth rate of plants has increased once more to 6 inches over the course of three horus. The length of time she is able to maintain control has increased to one hour. Pushing for an extended period of time now only results in mild headaches. Now she only has to wait two hours before using her magic again.

Bonded & Pets

     F E R G U S       the Highland Bull

Requiem found Fergus not long after she arrived in Caeleste. The calf was orphaned after his mother had been swept away in the wave that crashed through the city. He was newly weaned and completely traumatized by the events that lead to him being an orphan. Not one to abandon a creature in need, Requiem took him in and the two bonded. The calf rarely leaves her side and finds comfort trying to hide himself within the black and gold plumage of her wings.
As he grows in size and confidence he begins to wander a bit farther away from Requiem, but is quick to return to her when anything startles or frightens him. He is very social and will often try to entice anyone, no matter their size or species, into a game of tag.

Now an adult, Fergus spends a majority of his time grazing as cattle tend to do. He is still a social creature and enjoys meeting and making new friends, but he is more wary of those around him, He keeps an eye on Requiem, making sure that she is safe and if she is in need of aid he doesn't hesitate to come to her. Typically, when he is with Requiem, he can be found pulling her wooden wagon which is often loaded down with plants she has grown and cultivated and medicines. He's mostly grown out of trying to eat things that he shouldn't, but there are still occasions when he cannot seem to resist having a nibble of this or that and then regretting it after.
