03-12-2022A sleek black horse whips around the meadow. He has no limit to his speed or agility. He is just a flash, just a glance, and then he is gone. Off to some new adventure or quest or mission. Never sticking around too long for fear of discovery. A shadow, some may call him.
But sometimes, he stands there, when he is all alone, his white lighting-like mark tracks down his hindquarters, almost shimmering against the gleaming obsidian coat. His tall, muscular frame frozen in time. His bright ocean blue eyes contrasting his dark face. He is clean cut and sharp in his jaw, but sports a very rounded roman nose. He needs no items for mares to whisper in hushed voices and then glance and giggle to themselves.
His mane used to be unnaturally long, but he keeps it roached and out of the way. No single hair is ever out of place. His tail is a little different. He figures that if he must roach his mane, he could leave his tail. It's more thick than long, but long it still is. It flushes out behind him, the base being just as dark as his coat. Though the very tips are white. Maybe its becuase of the way this tips just barely drag the ground?
He bears no items, claiming they are a burden, but mostly just preferring to fight with his hooves and the items he finds around him.

As the emperor and his empire grew stronger during 15 AD, Maximus was asked to travel to India with a small team of 5 soldiers and the emperor's advisor. The task was supposedly to explore and see what India had to offer for trade, but Maximus soon found the true mission: to find a gemstone called the Immortality stone. And then to bring it back to the emperor.
Now, being the prideful and arrogant general that Maximus was at the time, this did not go over well with him. It was rather easy for him to find the stone hidden in the flora of India. But once he found it, he swiftly killed the emperor's advisor, and ordered the soldiers to go back to Rome immediately and report that the mission was complete, but that Maximus wanted to retire in India. In truth, Maximus took the stone and crushed it into a fine powder, then swallowing the fine baby blue powder entirely. Though he knew the Immortality stone of course gave him immortality to live forever, he did not realize that if somebody killed him, he would die like everybody else.
Again being prideful, Maximus went straight back to Rome, and started declaring himself the rightful emperor through Jupiter. Ths Roman emperor decided that if Jupiter wanted Maximus to be the new emperor, Jupiter would protect Maximus. So the emperor challenged Maximus to an arena fight to the death. Maximus decided that since he was "immortal to all deaths and injuries" he would fight with only his small blade. The emperor brought a sword and a several soldiers with him. Maximus defeated the soldiers easily but then he ran to the emperor and said, "Kill me. Go and try." And the emperor did. It was a quick kill and when Maximus awoke, he had four hooves and a tail and was a horse. A beautiful and handsome one at that. Though he was still immortal to naturally dying, he was somehow transported to a realm called Novus. And from there, he learned the way of horse. The immorality stone only works once, so now Maximus is very careful with his life as he is no longer immortal to dying in any way.
