make a wish, my dear - Aislinn - 08-23-2017

stardust and hurricanes she was

Another blessed evening melting away, one goddess stepping to the side to allow another to take her place in the sky. Night spilled across the expanse, all deep purples and fading blues and tangerine as the world slowly fell asleep. In all of her wanderings and lonely adventures, coming here, to the Evening Court of dusk, had quickly become one of her favorites. There was something magical about the special time of day when the colors began to fade and the living creatures of the world slowly drifted into a sweet slumber. A hush of breath, a soft lullaby, and the music of Night lulling the sun to sink below the horizon; a wheel, a circle, that ever repeated as each day was born again anew.

She had wandered yet again, taking another day to drift and be alone with herself. It wasn't as if she despised being at Court; far from the truth, actually. She had grown to love her new life, enjoying the bliss and passionate reverie that was the way Denoctians thrived. But it was the gypsy-hearted soul in her that had her restless, her blood boiling and muscles aching to move, to explore. Guilt racked at her as if she was being weighed down with stones; her desire to adventure an almost insatiable beast she couldn't even begin to tame.

This night, Aislinn found herself in the heart of a sea of greenery, wide open fields on all sides of her as far as the eye could see. She laid in the plaited grass with her legs carefully tucked, her crown tilted back so she could watch the stars. Maybe, just maybe, she will witness a falling streak of light across the sky.. only to make a wish, manifesting her dreams into reality.

TIRZAH HAVIV

At Tirzah’s feet the ground is studded with flowers and pebbles that glow in the moonlight, so she walks with her head dropped just above the dirt, watching the earth shift around her with a childlike fascination that spreads like a virus to overwhelm each corner of her brain. Holy Vespera - the petals - the dew! Satisfaction buzzing through her body, Tirzah’s already leisurely pace slows to what is practically a crawl. Underneath the setting sun her back has turned bottom-of-the-ocean blue, the yellow that coats her skin something luscious and unnatural. Silver hair drips in a braid down either side of her neck, floats past her back legs to skim the cold grass. In the new darkness, it’s hard to tell, but her eyes glitter with satisfaction, lamplights hidden in the greenery.

For what seems like years she wanders the grounds with her nose pressed close to the dirt, observing intently the plants, the vines, the little frogs, the bugs, stopping for a minute at each object of interest, totally and completely absorbed in her exploration. In her time gone, Terrastella had not changed much, but regained its novelty. In lieu of meeting the court she has spent her time getting reacquainted with the ancient buildings and lush terrain, so that now her hooves know each inch of the land again, and she can walk the walls blindfolded, humming native birdsong and naming flowers just by their smell, once more that fairy with a soul that lives deep within the dirt here.

Only when the night is complete does her reverie end. Through the foliage those cerulean eyes land on a silhouette in the darkness, a girl, winged, laying deep in the grass. Tirzah stops - snaps that delicate head upward. Hello… her voice melts into the wind, only just loud enough to reach the stranger from where she stands, far removed. Over sharp-edged cheekbones she watches the woman for a long moment, and then, as if a switch has been flicked, a smile splits open those yellow lips, and with airy strides she moves forward, closer, anklets clinking against her bones with a gentle song. Lovely night, thankVespera, I am Tirzah - it all comes out in one giddy breath.

stardust and hurricanes she was

The stars were starting to perk up and glimmer one-by-one, waking up as the sun fell beneath the horizon, allowing the moon to slowly rise. High above her, the sky was beginning to fade into washed out colors of orange and deep pinks and luscious purples; the shadows of Calligo dripping like ink into a sea. It was beautiful, a sight to behold, as the seal-bay mare craned her arched neck back to look at every inch of the stunning painting before her.

Within several minutes, the Night goddess had taken hold of the sky, as She had sung the sun into a slumber with the lullaby of stars and smoke and dreams. The moon was a sliver on the horizon, ever so slowly rising as if the celestial orb hung on an invisible silver thread. She is lost in her daydreams, her mind running in circles and completely unaware of another presence approaching her. A swift and quiet hello breaks her from her silent reverie, the gypsy woman's ears pricking upwards with surprise. Craning her neck, her orbs of icy-blue flames land on a curiously colorful femme.

A smile pulls at her lips — blissful and genuine — as Aislinn lifts her right wing and pulls the great plumed appendage closer to her body; a subtle attempt to motion the girl to sit with her. "Why hello, dear," she breathes, blinking in the darkness as she curiously notes the stranger's gorgeous and unique coloring. Her ears catch the jingle of her anklets, much like the sound of the coins dangling from her throat. Suddenly, unexpectedly, the dreamer-turned-warrior realizes that she immediately likes the newcomer and her sweetness. "Yes, the Goddess continues to outdo herself, doesn't She?" she replies, almost to herself as she wonders aloud.

Turning her gaze towards the shining stars once more, Aislinn grins to the heavens. "Have you ever made a wish on a falling star, Tirzah?" she inquires.

@tirzah

TIRZAH HAVIV

As always, Tirzah looks upon her company with startling reverence. Strangers are sometimes unsettled by the force with which she gazes at them, but it’s merely a mark of her constant curiosity, another show of ethereality; she’s pleased to find that this woman does not seem startled by her wide glass eyes or uninterrupted staring. The night around them feels heavy and warm, as though there is something waiting just beyond it, the hum of the cicadas promising a pleasant end to this summer. Unconsciously Tirzah sways toward the stranger, drawn by a supernatural tugging in her chest. Under the mass of silver hair and feathers, her face is soft, curious, and as she observes the stranger she smiles, feeling uniquely blessed.

As the sky shines down upon them, flecked in places with Vespera’s white smile - the winking of stars - Tirzah feels herself drawn toward the center of the earth, following the track of Aislinn’s wing as it beckons her. Those nimble legs fold with grace to bring Tirzah to the ground, the gentle clink of anklets sounding as she splays her limbs to lay more comfortably in the warm grass. Only a few inches separate them. But Tirzah is not conscious of that. She simply accepts the warmth that passes between them and lets a smile blaze over her lips. The blue girl answers, Indeed she does, bless Her, and Tirzah’s head tilts for a half-moment toward the sky, eyes fluttering closed in reverence. Then all at once, startled by the rush of wind past her cheeks, she snaps back into the moment, into her own body, and looks down to meet Aislinn’s gaze again, wide and honest.

Many times, Tirzah admits with an unselfconscious laugh. Shaking a stray hair from her cheek, she shifts again to sit straighter and continues in that lilting, silvery voice, And you? I’m sure you must have… the stars are all over you - she gestures with a quick nod to the constellation that lines Aislinn’s neck, although it is not only that - this woman is something ethereal, night-born, so obviously in her element that Tirzah is fascinated simply by the shape she makes against the sky, the energy that pulsates between them.

@Aislinn sorry for this pos !!!

The stormsinger smiled, for she laid under Calligo's darkness, all smoke and shadows and glittering stars. And blissfully — thankfully — not alone; a gorgeous creature of tropical cerulean and the yellow color of sunflowers. Tirzah's one grin and sweet air about her tugs at the gypsy woman's heart and filling her with a most welcome warmth. Aislinn watched as the lovely girl with equal silver hair — starlight woven into silk — collapse her delicate legs and join her at her side; the soft tinkling of her anklets a musical, joyous sound against the night's chorus of cicadas. Not more than a few inches separated woman to woman, but the stormsinger didn't care.

Indeed she does, bless Her.

In agreement, the sister goddesses smile and wink down upon the blue girl and the gypsy as they stared up up up into the starry heavens. Indigo and lavender and deep ebony ink spilled across the expanse above them; a canvas of paint that darkened with each passing moment. One goddess stepping aside for another as time continued ever forward.

Many times... And you? I’m sure you must have... the stars are all over you —

Tirzah's laughter is a wondrous sound that has the gypsy mare's crown turning towards her in surprise and curiosity; the blue girl's next words and gaze upon her neck bringing a phantom smile to her velvet lips. Her tattoos — the constellations that she bore along the curve of her spine — were a reminder and a tribute that struck the chords of her soul. Maybe one day, she would bring life to the story of the white ink marking her shadowy skin; but not now. Not yet.

"Your words are kind," she replied, dipping her crown in thanks. She does not see herself through the girl's eyes; how the Night goddess' darkness ebbs and clings to her, her wings a breathing feathered mass of indigo and ebony and cobalt. The starlight of her mane and her wings dipped in moonlight. Instead, she focuses her icy gaze onto the stars shimmering above them, until all at once, a shower of stars begins to fall. A gasp of surprise is loosed from her soft lips; and she is once again a child witnesses the work of gods and miracles and wishes. "Look at that," the gypsy breathes, "have you ever seen anything so wonderful in your life?"

@tirzah thank you so so much for being incredibly patient with me!! <3
