EXP Updates and Reward Redemption

Reply here to either have your experience updated or claim a Milestone Reward!
Experience can be earned in a variety of ways, all of which pertain to IC activity and interactions. Some general guidelines:

Please reference the Guidebook page and supplement.

EXP can only be earned in threads between Original/Player Characters.
- For example, you cannot gain experience for healing a life-threatening wound on an NPC character.

You MUST highlight the applicable portions of your posts!
- For example, if you are redeeming "Heal (5) smaller wounds" then you must highlight parts of your posts that pertain to healing.
- This will greatly speed up the verification process for staff - and, in turn, yourself!
- Personal Development redemptions are exempt from this rule (as many don't include threads!)

Minimum 3+ posts per character per thread to earn EXP.
- Your partner backing out will still earn you EXP, just not as much, just ask staff if that's the case!
- At least two of these posts must be dedicated strictly to the EXP earning topic.

HEALING You MUST highlight the applicable portions of your posts! Find (5) different types of medicinal/herbal plant in (2) different courts: +2 Heal (5) smaller wounds, such as scrapes, minor burns, etc: +1 Heal (1) major or life threatening wound, such as a deep punctures: +2 Heal (2) characters from different courts: +2 Gather supplies for your Court with another character: +1

LEARNING & KNOWLEDGE You MUST highlight the applicable portions of your posts! Learn about the homeland / history of (5) different characters: +4 Convene and share knowledge with (1) member of a different court: +1 Assist in amending a broken bond between courts: +2 Settle a dispute between (2)+ different characters, self not included: +1 Discover a large landmark and share the find with (1)+ other character: +1 Such as: a large stone wall, weirdly shaped tree, odd stone monument, etc.

CRAFTSMANSHIP You MUST highlight the applicable portions of your posts! Provide (5) different types of supplies to another Court: +1 Discover, collect, and refine a new type of crafting material: +1 Collect (5) types of items, all from different Courts/Areas: +1

BATTLES & STEALTHS Must be posted in their correct applicable forums - Bellum Steppe, Solterran Colosseum, Abigo Caves. Participate in a Battle or Challenge: +1 Win a Battle: +1 additional (total of +2) Battles are for EXP and possibly a reward agreed upon by all RPers. Reward cannot be a Position of Power. Win a Challenge: +2 additional (total of +3) Challengers seek to gain EXP and a Position of Power from those they challenge. Succeed in an Involuntary Stealth attempt (without using items): +1 Successfully block an Involuntary Stealth attempt (without using items): +1

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT Member for 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years (etc): +3 each time (to all characters) Can be claimed retroactively! Reach 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 (etc) IC posts: +5 each time (per character)   Complete 5 threads with your same character: +3 MUST have an in character closure (e.g. physically leaving the area, falling asleep, etc) that marks the end of your character's involvement At least 2 characters must be present and your character must have posted at least four times -- Battle threads, despite typically only having 3 posts each, DO count! -- Worship threads that do not meet the minimum 4-post count are not eligible to also be redeemed as completed threads This can be claimed each time you have (5) new completed threads Thread with (5) members you haven't RP'd with before: +3 to any (1) of your characters In each thread, you must have 3 replies (from your character) to claim this! This can be claimed each time you have (5) different members you haven't threaded with before. Gain a Regime Position (Sovereign, Regent, or Emissary): +5 Lose a Regime Position OOCly, WITHOUT IC thread: -1 Gain a Counsel Position (Warden and all Champions): +3 Lose a Counsel Position OOCly, WITHOUT IC thread: -1 Have a successful pregnancy: +1 to both parents Have a successful birth: +1 additional (total of +2) to the mother only Participate in a Site Wide Plot: +3 You must also include a link to the [SWP] info thread as well. Must have 4 posts overall (can be scattered in multiple threads) Participate in an IC Contest/Event: +2 You must also include a link to the IC [EVENT] info thread as well. Must have 4 posts overall (can be scattered in multiple threads) Participate in the Seasonal Portal IC Event: +2 Link to your participating threads & IC [EVENT] info thread, and list what season you participated in (506 Winter, 507 Spring, etc) Must have 4 posts overall (can be scattered in multiple threads) in threads that STARTED during the timeframe of that season's event. Any post started during that timeframe and completed within (2) months of that start date can redeem the +2 EXP. As the Portals will change on the first day of each new season, all threads started after that date will not count towards the previous season's IC Event. Start a Official Sub-group: +4 Join an Official Sub-group: +2 Gain an Interactive Agora Item: +1 Interactive Agora Item - Staff-written Short Quest: +1 additional if your character responded (500 WC minimum) to a staff-written Quest to gain said item (+2 Total) Interactive Agora Item - Member-written Short Quest: +1 additional if your character wrote a 500 WC minimum Quest to gain said item (+2 Total) Interactive Agora Item - Member-written Extended Quest: +2 additional if your character wrote and completed their own written Quest thread to gain said item (+3 Total) Accompany a character on their Extended Quest for an Interactive Agora Item IC'ly: +1 This redemption is intended for characters who are not gaining an Agora item, but threading with someone who is! Must be a completed thread, and must be a questing thread. Visit Novus on Halloween 2021 (10/31/21, from 12:00a-11:59p EST): +3 EXP to any (1) of your characters Can only be claimed once per member! Must have actually posted the redemption request (or another post, IC or OOC) on said holiday, in Novus time (EST).

EXP Milestones
Once you reach a certain amount of experience points, you can get unique rewards! 
Experience must be formally claimed/updated before you can claim these Experience Milestone Rewards.

25 EXP
- Able to level magic to Tier 2: Vexillum (additionally, character must have 25+ IC posts)
- Receive an additional 20 points to be split between Health and Attack stats

50 EXP
- Able to level magic to Tier 3: Periti (additionally, character must have 50+ IC posts)
- Receive an additional 20 points to be split between Health and Attack stats

70 EXP
- Receive five free Common Items of your choice from the Agora
- Receive an additional 20 points to be split between Health and Attack stats

90 EXP
- Able to level magic to Tier 4: Dominus (additionally, character must have 100+ IC posts)
- Receive an additional 20 points to be split between Health and Attack stats

100 EXP
- Receive one free Restricted Item of your choice from the Agora (including Massive Bondeds!)
- Receive an additional 20 points to be split between Health and Attack stats

Failure to do so will result in your Milestone Reward request being DENIED until you formally update your character's EXP!
