Pure of Heart
Rhone seemed to go silent, mulling over thoughts. Uzi was content to wait, enjoying the conversation and peace that she was feeling with him. Neema curled up at her hooves, her dark muzzle caressing the ivory column of Uzi's leg as the mare dropped her head to return the touch. The maned wolf was one of the few that she would be so comfortable touching, though her obnoxious big brother was rather touchy too. Smiling, she returned her focus to the stallion before her and felt another wave of ease pass through her, relaxing her to the fullest extent as she felt herself completely settle in his company.

"You make it seem as though being shy is a negative thing. It will serve you well in battle." Uzi nodded, taking a moment to think about it. "I can see that. Most of the time, you hear about the confident ones that turn the tides of a battle. I think taking your time to see what the issue is, where you need to present a strong front, and when you need to step back can be just as beneficial to everyone as one strong and confident leader." She said, thinking as she spoke and nodding her head.

He listened to her softly, nodding slowly with each word that she spoke. While it was true that the only ones you heard about changing the tides of battle were the ones who run head first with large acts of bravery, the true heroes were the more silent ones. The ones that formulated the battle plans, the ones who nursed the wounded, the ones who cooked food for the soldiers. Each member was important, each had a role. No one role was more important than the other, even if some might disagree. "I like to think the confident ones are no more important than the ones who help around camp. Each has a role, each is important in his or her own way." Sometimes it was hard to see that, but Rhone always tried to shed light on the less known ways a soldier could help. But his time in battle had been so long ago. Surely some things had changed.

Eyes looked towards the maned wolf, watching the relationship between the two. It was refreshing to see such a bond, even if it did make him a tad jealous that he did not have someone to love him so completely. He hoped this world might open him up to another love, but heart break was something than ran deep within him. Perhaps he would never share a relationship as special was Uzuri and her wolf. Perhaps this world had other plans for him.

With a soft and steady sigh, Rhone looked back to Uzuri. "It was a pleasure walking with you, Uzuri. But I must head towards the library." He had many things to learn today, so many questions that needed answering. "Have confidence in yourself and all your ventures will be profitable." She had to know and believe in herself and she would be given all that she seeked.

With one final nod, the stallion changed course and headed towards the small library. He had much to to today even if he was losing daylight. He hoped to see Uzuri again one day. She seemed pleasant enough and a joy to talk to. Even a scholar such as himself gets lonely every now and then.

@Uzuri - ooc: a little closer - they should meet again soon!

Pure of Heart

Uzi listened to the stallion with a smile, eyes soft and warm. When he spoke of leaving, she nodded and dipped her head. "It was an absolute pleasure to meet you, Rhone. I do hope that we see each other again soon." She bid him farewell with soft words, while Neema yipped a good bye as well.

While he headed off toward the library, Uzi found herself watching him leave. There was something alluring about the stallion and she couldnt put her hoof on it. Smiling to herself, she looked down at her companion and sighed. "Pleasant company always makes the day seem brighter, doesnt it. What should we do now?" She asked the orange hued canid.

"Could wander out to the meadows and see what is happening there..." Neema responded with a grin, though she had wanted to tease the shy mare a bit. "Of course... you could always chase after him and escort him to your own home..." The canid teased, winking a green eye as she bounded forward. Uzi snorted and shook her head as she turned to follow. This pup would be the death of her yet.
