Swallow cities to feel alive...

Solterra was a thankful reprieve from the rest of Novus. The rest of Novus was covered in snow this time of year. Effy tried not to make her way out of her desert home during this season. She hated winter, almost more than she hated her sister. The Solterran soldier had yet to find any trace of her sister, but she was convinced that Noctiilucent was here. Novus was one of the closest domains to Reth that was not in strife with them. It was months away. Efphion had settled into Day Court but had made no real connections. She had not been keen on the two previous rulers of Solterra. They were not as faithful as she was to Solis. Effy was faithful to the sun, to a fault. It was the source of her violence, as much as it was the source of her passion. Jealousy flared inside her, it burned like molten iron as it spilled through her core. Noctiilucent had been noted as the most passionate of Reth, and she could hardly stand it.

Effy, The Shadow, The Wrath of the Sun. She was always in her sister's shadow, until she had become a soldier and surpassed her sister in battle. Her jealousy dampened when she recalled this fact. It soothed her fires for now. The ashen maiden adorn with silver traipsed through Soleterra effortlessly. She arrived at the hall where she believed she would find her new King. Effy had yet to form an opinion of the man who had taken the throne after Raum. A man who had pressed his hooves upon all of Solterra. A man who Effy did not hate, for she could relate to such feelings. However, her thirst for violence was different. Hers was not political. Efphion was no diplomat, nor rose in a garden of thorns. She was the snake that hid beneath them, waiting to strike. She needed to stop wasting time here.

Her dark form was a contrast to the pale walls the King could call home. She looked to one of the guards, someone she didn't recognize or really care to know. "Tell the King that one of his soldiers requests an audience." Effy spoke politely, for now, she had no reason to erupt into a fit of rage yet.
