Often distorted by mirages playing tricks on the mind, the Day Court is a building well-suited to its people. The outermost walls appear worn with age and frequent exposure to strong winds, though they still remain as steady as they were from the day of their construction. The halls within are relatively bland, typically only decorated by banners accented with imagery of Solis himself. For the most part, very little concern is placed on the appearance of the stronghold; to residents, its purpose is served in protecting the heart of the Court and stone seems to have done just fine doing so thus far.

Mors Desert has long been a land devoid of most life. Not a single drop of water has touched the dunes in years, leaving it near impossible for those ill-equipped to survive without the aid of a native to the region. In fact, it has become notorious for leading travelers for countless miles until they collapse in the sand from exhaustion. It is an awful tease really, the mirages of the desert, like dangling a steak in front of a starving hound’s nose with no intention of ever handing it over. For many, it is not water that waits on the horizon, but the promise of death should they be foolish enough to wander the dunes of Mors for too long.

In spite of all the tricks, Solterra holds quite a gem for those savvy enough to find it. From the sand is an outcropping of stone and even lush plant life, but it is the babbling of a small waterfall that is most striking here. The change in landscape is vast, going from constant hills of sand to trees of green and a lake of blue with but a simple turn of the head; some even mistake it for yet another illusion, only to find they have finally reached asylum. Vitae Oasis’ existence is a mystery to all - including residents - but the bright blue waters that exist here have always been a prominent piece of the nation and one that is cherished as a gift from Solis himself.

Situated in the southern corner of Solterra, Elatus Canyon acts as a natural defense for the Day Court. Its towering sandstone walls make it near impossible to tell where one is going - or where one has been, for that matter. The manner with which every corner twists and turns is what creates such a difficult trek, leading some to narrow and utterly claustrophobic passageways, and others to mere dead ends. In particular areas, it is possible to reach higher ground to survey what lies below, but the climb up unsteady rock ledges demands surefootedness in those brave enough to take the risk. After all, the ground below is far from forgiving.

Nestled into the Elatus Canyon stands the prize of the Day Court: a Colosseum carved out of the sandstone rocks themselves stands sentry to the narrow passageways. Its walls tower into the sky, and hardened red clay makes up its floor, crafted by Solis' will alone. Here is where the warriors of Solterra leave their mark, in blood and in scars, testing their strength and skill against one another in the true Solterran fashion.
