Quote of the Season
"Her mother lives all in day, her father all in night, and Apolonia straddles the thin, dusky line halving her heart with not so much grace - startling awake in the middle of the night or at the crack of dawn, trying to find some way to compromise." — Apolonia in

.Extended Description.

When one first sees this mare from the left, they might think she's a solid red roan with golden antlers, cinnamon wings and golden hooves. Her other side is a different story, however. Her right side is a solid blue roan, with silver antlers, dark grey wings and silver hooves. But if they see her face on, they'll notice she's split right down the middle of her frame. A pure white blaze travels down her face from right between her eyes to a few inches above her nose. Tall and slender, but well built. Height of an Irish Draught, but with the slender frame and dished nose of an Arabian. Her left eye is a gorgeous dark crystal blue, and her right is a pale emerald green.

She wears a small satchel on her right side, which she uses for storing herbs and stuff that she needs. Between her antlers a few thin golden chains drape and hang down on her forehead. An eagle's feather is woven into her mane just behind her ears.

.Extended Description.

Taught from an early age by her mother and father, Aibreann is a gentle and caring individual. Her caring nature comes from her mother's healer nature. This mare's personality is much more like that of her mother's than her father. That's not to say her father wasn't caring. He was. Geraint was just more warrior like in nature than Roslindis. A demigod in every sense of the word, Aibreann is a gentle and caring soul. That's not to say that she can't be protective over the ones she cares for. A proverbial fire runs through her veins when someone threatens those she cares about. Typically, because of her wary nature, Aibre can be a little soft-spoken, until she knows another extremely well. To those whom she pledges her loyalty, she is faithful to them unless they prove her wrong.

Due to her being bullied and shunned as a youngster, this young mare is very self-conscious. She knows she's different looking, and she constantly worries that others will shun her again like they did when she was just a young mare. Aibreann is also a very self-critical mare, always wondering if there is something wrong with what she's doing. Despite being a demigoddess, this winged and antlered mare can be quite impatient at times, eager for things to be done sometimes. She's a generous little lady, despite her few shortcomings. Patience is not her strong suit most of the time, and the few times she's not soft spoken are when she's speaking very passionately about something she deeply cares about, like healing or her family, and when she knows the other equine she's talking to rather closely.

Its rare that those who are not close to her will ever get to hear about her past. She's worried those who invaded her homeland are still out looking for her, intent to capture her and force her to be a slave to the leader of them. The leader of those who wished to capture her wanted to make her his queen due to her eccentric coloration, so she's always quite worried about running into one of them and thus very wary of those she runs across.
In the land of Brígh, there were four main deities. Roslindis was one of those, a goddess who helped heal those who were sick and near death if she could. Geraint was a mortal stallion from a well-known family who was a powerful warrior and a charismatic stallion. He could charm the horseshoes off a god if given the chance. One day, when Roslindis was down in Brígh, her and Geraint ran into each other. She was helping with the wounds of mortals after a particularly bad battle, and Geraint had been a captain in the battle. He was sitting in the healer's tent, and Roslindis was making her way through the tent, healing particularly bad wounds with powers bestowed on her as a goddess. Their eyes met, and it was love at first sight. However, goddesses were not permitted to fall in love with mortals. It went again their most basic principle. To interfere only with what they were meant to. And to not leave behind a trace of their essence. However she couldn't help falling in love with Geraint. He was strong, tall and handsome. A blue roan Irish Draught with a pure white blaze down his face. He was a regular equine, for in Brígh only the gods and goddesses held wings and horns/antlers.

The Beginning
Their love affair continued for the next year, and then Roslindis discovered she was pregnant. The goddess stayed away for the next 11 months, only coming down to see Geraint to when major milestones in her pregnancy came along. However, the goddess came down to Brígh to give birth with Geraint present to meet his foal. However, the goddess had kept a secret from the stallion. She was pregnant with not one, but two foals. So when she gave birth to two little fillies, Geraint was surprised. He was excited, but surprised. But as soon as the duo was born, it was obvious they were demigoddesses themselves. Both fillies had wings and a pair of antlers. Roslindis and Geraint exchanged a look. How would they protect these little girls when they so obviously bore the marks of the gods? It would be difficult. But as they welcomed their new daughters into the world, they noticed one of them looked different when she was seen from either side. She resembled her father on the right, but her mother on the left. The other one was a bay roan, darker than her mom but lighter than her dad. The girl who bore two different colors on either side they name Aibreann. The bay roan daughter they named Caoimhe.

Year 1
The two girls grew up for most of their life in the mortal world of Brígh, as they were not permitted in the realm of the deities. Their mom visited on occasion, when she could. She had been reprimanded for her actions, and given minor visitation rights to see her daughters. Geraint raised the twins with knowledge of their mother, almost as if she was always there with them. However, the two daughters were often shunned by their peers, especially Aibreann. They thought her coloring was strange, unnatural. When Aibreann wasn't being shunned, she was being bullied by the other yearlings. Caoimhe helped protect her sister when she could, having gained more of a warrior's mindset from their father. Aibreann then kept to herself. She stayed home with her father most of the time, teaching herself how to be a healer. Due to her parentage, Aibreann inherited her mother's ability to heal without the magic her mother used. When the twins were about a year and a half old, they were both given the chance to bond with a dragon. Aibreann bonded with a beautiful golden dragon with ebony patches scattered through her scales. Caoimhe bonded with a pure white dragon, with pale sky blue accents.

Year 2
By now the girls had grown into their legs and wings. Aibreann had inherited her mother's build but her father's height. Caoimhe had inherited her father's warrior build for the most part. She wanted to become a warrior, like her father. Aibreann, however, wanted to follow in her mother's hoofsteps and become a healer. So she did just that. More than ever, Aibreann threw herself into becoming the healer she wanted to be. A gift from her mother when she was 2.5 years old was a leather satchel to store herbs in. Another gift from her mother was the thin golden chain that drapes between her antlers. Caoimhe has the same chain, to tie the girls together as sisters forever. However, when the girls were nearly 3 years old, their home came under siege. Geraint ordered his daughters to escape, and they made an attempt to. However, a warrior from the attacking party made an attempt to capture Aibreann, noting her blue roan side matched her father's, and her beauty would make her a great prize for their leader. Caoimhe threw herself in front of Aibreann, ordering her sister to run. The chimera filly unfurled her wings and took off away from the fight. She flew for hours until she crash landed in a meadow, not sure where she was. Her dragon companion was lost in her flee, and she wishes she could find her once again.

Year 3
She had crash landed in a cold place, a meadow. Her wings and body were weak from her flee. Hopefully, this place would be a safe place for the three year old mare. She holds no more demigoddess features other than her antlers and wings, and those are only traits of gods and goddesses within her homeland.
