PYXIS
A GENTLE SOUL
It was strange, to be away from the walls of the capital, but Pyxis found he enjoyed it, his short body meandering among snow dusted meadow. Against the drop of white, he stood out like a sore thumb, bright pinks with dark splotches and glittering scales. He supposed he seemed an oddity, a hybrid of his parents, but that didn't bother him. What did bother him was.. the lack of his parents. He was a year old now, capable of being on his own, but that didn't mean he should be.
He missed them both.
Even so, he moseyed himself along, kicking up tufts of snow as he did, sending it up behind him and hearing it fall back, his lips twitching in to a small smile. It was nice, at least, to see the snow. He felt energy humming through him, the sort only foals felt when they were excited, and he was soon bounding forward, kicking up snow and letting out laughter, letting himself enjoy the day as he frolicked in the white powder.
It was time he enjoyed something, after all.
