BEXLEY BRIAR
She’s heard of Kasil, sort of - in the same way she’s heard hushed whispers of Rannveig, and of Reichenbach even after they met - and none of those whispers have deterred her from attempting to visit, although anyone else might have traipsed into the Dawn Court with perhaps a little more preparation. Really, Bex hadn’t planned to do this today. She’d barely even planned to do it all. It was the kind of subtle, subdued interest that rattled in her head but never talked at all loudly, and for the months she’d spent on the western border of Solterra, her curiosity about the prospect of visiting the flower-pickers was easily pushed down, disbanded, ignored. She could’ve gone months more without visiting had Solterra not begun to feel so small. But it had, and Bexley’s adventure had let her to her current position as she slinks down the Rapax, the scent of lavender and oak wafting from over the water, and with the sudden realization that she was only and hour or so from the gauze and mystery of Delumine, Bexley had confidently paddled her way through the water and headed east to the Dawn Court.
Brash as always, she crosses the cobblestone streets with nary an explanation given to the Dusk citizens who watch her warily, too absorbed in the novelty of the situation to care about their lecherous gazes. The world has exploded in green now, hundreds of trees and bushes blessed to blooming by the dampness of the air around them. Cool breezes whisper past the branches and brick-mortar walls. Bexley could almost shiver, having become used to the stifling heat of the desert, but she doesn’t. What message would that send? Instead she focuses on her ascent to the Dawn Court’s main tower, pale hooves clicking against the wet stone of the street. Azure eyes narrowed against the watery gray light and white-blonde hair bouncing in its many curls against her skin, Bexley is unusually quiet as she traipses up the paved slope, but the necklace at her throat, and the hot scent of sand and mint that swirls from her skin, still sets her apart as distinctly non-Delumine.
Not that she’s ever cared about that kind of thing.

KASIL
He was preparing for his first journey outside of the court since he had been crowned the Sovereign of Dawn Court, his satchels filled with an assortment of maps, supplies and gifts for his hosts. He was leaving Ipomoea in charge while he was away, the Emissary his right hand while the regent position lay vacant. He had an idea of who he wanted to fill the spot, but he had yet to ask simply because he still did not know their full intentions within the court. He also had little time as it was, constantly bombarded with duties and the like -- but he was sure that he had handled enough of them that he could spend a little time away without it being too overbearing on Po. Besides, Kasil had appointed Somnus to help as well -- knowing that the dunalino needed more work to put his hands too, and there was the festival he had forgotten about. Kasil hoped to be back before those festivities began, but he could stand no longer to be a sequestered king, feeling trapped by the very walls that were meant to be home.
Kasil looked again over his belongings, each selected carefully by his own hand -- with a few things that Liesel had suggested for the journey. He had happily taken her suggestions, confused by the entanglement of feelings that he had for the lovely warrior who served as his personal guard. He had never stopped to consider women before being a king, too concerned with his studies to think of things like romance or relationships. He was a scholar first, in love with his work and it left very little room for anyone else. However, now that his duties as a scholar had lessened...he found himself turning to people instead of books, desperate for companionship and finding out that there was certainly far more to this world than what was on the pages of a book.
The winged stallion pulled himself away from his planning, the needs of the court always tugging at the back of his thoughts. He was careful not to let them overrun his mind as he had in the beginning, but still he felt the pull to be out and among the people. Especially since he would be leaving so soon, on a pilgrimage to the various locations of Novus to pay his respects to the Dawn God on the mountain as well as visit the other territories. Leaving his chambers, he instinctively looked for Liesel -- except that he remembered he had given her the day off to prepare for their trip. The idea of being alone with her was unsettling, but he thought his retainers would have an unholy fit if he tried to go by himself without a single guard. Having Liesel at his side would also mean that the trip would take longer, as she lacked the ability of flight. It would mean hours...days in the wilds with just the two of them.
Emerging from the citadel in it’s entirety, he was met with an unfamiliar sight -- a vixen of gleaming golden color before his eyes that carried herself in a very different way than he had ever encountered. Kasil paused, watching her approach his citadel with interest, the wind sending her scent up to him where it rolled over him like a wave. He was quite familiar with the unusual smell of the sandy place that the Day Court called their home. He had been quite unfit for the harsher terrain so he had not tarried there in his youth, but he remembered enough of the scorching heat that the smell would be forever engrained in his memory. Relations however, were currently strained with the Day Court -- as its Sovereign was proving to be something of a militant and he had heard the whispers that he had already stolen once from the Night King. The very idea of such uncivilized action was enough to put a sour taste in his mouth -- yet he had always been taught not to judge someone based on the actions of another. For all that Kasil knew, this fair woman was just another traveller.
He found himself moving forward, his stride purposeful as he went towards her. Perhaps another day he would not have bothered, but because of his looming absence...he would want to know exactly what this female was doing in his court before he left it unattended. ”Greetings, fair one.” He said slowly, his voice a rumble of thunder as he put more authority into his voice than normal -- yet he bore a smile for her, the sun glinting off of his golden headpiece. ”Welcome to Delumine -- are you looking for something?”
@Bexley sorry this took so long to get to you, darling! <3

BEXLEY BRIAR
Absorbed in the novelty of Delumine, Bexley hardly notices the sound of hoofsteps behind her, and when she does, ignores them; azure eyes lighting over the buildings and streets, ears swiveling among the cacophony, it seems nothing will tear her attention from her reverent observation of the Dawn Court. Yet when the voice finally erupts at her back, it is impossible to ignore - authoritative, deep, booming, almost - and, almost but not quite startled, Bexley pauses in her step and half-turns.
For a moment she looks him over, unselfconscious about her curiosity. Significantly taller than her and not unattractive, the kind of refined handsomeness hard to find in Solterra, where men are more scarred than not, more outlandish in their masculinity. Her gaze is drawn almost instantly to the diadem at his temple, and though it would be impossible for him to tell, her eyes sharpen then - start to reflect the light rather than absorb it, a calculated interest turning her to a mass of live wires and anticipation - she bats her lashes at him once, quick and casual, and then shifts to face the Sovereign completely.
Just visiting - Delumine is lovely. A warm smile crosses Bex’s face, which she warps pretty easily to make look sincere. She's had a lot of practice at it - flattery - and now it comes to her easily, almost on instinct, as she already starts to plan the way she'll talk to this man, what she'll say, what she could convince him of. Shifting thick curls from her cheek with the roll of one shoulder, and stepping forward just an inch, she continues in a silvery lilt, Kasil, I’m assuming? I’m Bexley. The air hums warm around her, damp and enticing; a new land, a new stranger and so many opportunities, so many paths to take here, all criss-crossing, all open and tempting.
