MÁNI
all my friends are heathens

This was.. strange. Being back in Novus, back in the south, in the ever popular wanderer lands and even more so Eluetheria. He had already been to Dusk, though lingering on the edges rather than stepping back in. His heart had led him after Rannveig, following her to the North once more, to her birthplace rather than his own. He had abandoned his post as Regent and gone after her, following her steps, ever faithful. It had been the only thing to do, he knew. Remaining in Novus would have likely been a disaster.

As it were, in their journey, their stay, Valkyr had come along. Their first child, perhaps their only, though there was no one that could say anything like that. Perhaps there would be more in the future, only the deities and their futures had the answer to that. As it were, Máni heard the crunch underhoof of grass, and he lifted his head, blowing out a soft breath and gazing skyward. It was overcast, though nothing here compared of the old lands, of back in Brynjar where he'd been born. The cold was fierce there, likely to cause loss of limb if you weren't careful.

Alas, here he was in Novus, the warmth on his skin as violet eyes focused from the sky, to the horizon. It was a pleasant day, there was no denying that. The sun tucked behind the clouds, the chill breeze ruffling his mane. A fine day to reacquaint himself with lands he had called home only a small stretch of time back.

all she wanted  was a destination and the open road
Quietude is what the Plains offer. A sanctuary outside of Denocte to find herself in once more. A life offered that is not confined by walls, keeping her caged within books and away from others. Although Moira adores her books, her learning, her days to listen to the howling of the wind and sit beside a laughing fire with a cup of tea and a new novel every hour, she also craves adventure. Perhaps that is one of the leading factors that let her leave both her home first, and then Estelle.

With a pang she shakes her head, charcoal curls swaying heavily with the weight of them when down, as she vehemently denies the fact that she left Estelle. After all, Moira did not abandon her cousin. She is here to find a home and a cure, something to help her cousin, and a safe place to bring her. Despite her best intentions, she's moved far too slow for her liking.

When the library could not cure her restlessness, when Denocte did not hold her heart at the moment, Moira finds herself on the plains. Many are gone because the sky is gray. She does not mind the sullen atmosphere.

What she finds is a man of gold and cream and night-dark colors. He looks to the sky as you would a lover, for Moira knows nothing else like a god above or devil below. Hesitation abandons her as she surges forward, coming up beside him and easing into a rolling stop. Should she disturb him? Already she's made quite the entrance (unfortunately). "Hello there," comes out at last. Light as the fluttering of a butterfly's wings, soothing as the sunset, her voice is something to be heard only in the background of dreams. Something you won't quite remember, not as much as you do the skin on her back or the color of her eyes.

@Máni please forgive this awful post. i love you too and am so excited to thread here !

The day was chilled and it reminded him of the time he had spent in Novus, back before he had simply followed Rannveig. While he had been loyal to Terrastella, his heart belonged to her, and he would not abandon her. The position of regent had been surrendered so easily, and he had trailed after her, had conceived a child with her in their time away from Terrastella. It had been breathtaking, raising a child, teaching her what they knew, and they had grown closer as only lovers would after a child was born between them.

He paid no attention to his surroundings (at least not like he should have), instead watching the rolling gray clouds that held their rains and snows within them, not yet ready to burst. No, they were still greedy things lingering above, and he sighed to himself as he lowered his violet gaze, only to stop when there was a flurry of hooves. That, at least, drew his attention.

Máni, for all his worth, didn't so much as flinch at the rumble on the ground, instead turning smoky encased eyes to the one that had come from seemingly nowhere. Had he really been that lost in his thoughts? His memories of a young filly frolicking in freshly fallen snow, her laughter shrill and bright. It seemed that becoming a father held that sentiment over him, and his heart belonged to two women now. His mate, and his daughter.

"Hello." The rumble of the North rolled through his words, deep like the earth and accented from the seas and the many clans that wove in and out of the winters. It was something like a family near a fire, enjoying a feast as they spoke of conquests and treasures.

@Moira || your posts are as perfect as always shhHHH
