Welcome to Denocte and The Night Court on behalf of Reichenbach Rommel, your new Sovereign. Here at the Night Court we do things differently -
G E N E R A L
All manner of beasts are welcome at our Court, period.
Respect your fellow citizens, regardless of status.
The patron God of Denocte and The Night Court is Calligo - prayer and worship are encouraged, however religious freedom is accepted here.
Court alliances must be maintained. The punishment for any wrongdoing against an allied court will see you sent off to live out your days as the offended Court see's fit.
Crime will not be tolerated - minor crimes result in imprisonment, while major crimes and their punishments will be judged in front of the Sovereign and a neutral jury.
Herd meetings are compulsory, however herd activities do not require your participation although they are very much encouraged!
We are a city of merchants, gypsies and outcasts - expression and artistry are encouraged and welcomed. Denocte is host to many great and wonderful markets, fairs and other events that draw interest from all corners of the world.
V I S I T O R S
All visitors will be met at the Arma Mountain Pass and escorted to their desired location by a member of the guard.
Any visitor that attempts to sneak into Denocte will find themselves judged for wrongdoing by the Sovereign, resulting in whatever punishment is deemed fit.
D I S P U T E S
Disputes are to be brought before the Sovereign, who will consider both sides and provide a resolution - or to the sparring pit, where you can gain more experience whilst venting.
E V E N T S
Denocte is famed for it's parties! Events are held often and are full of food, drink, dancing and singing - in a land bursting with artistic talent, you can find all sorts of performers showing off their skills. If you're lucky you'll even see the Sovereign perform his party trick: fire eating! Here is a list of events hosted each year by The Night Court:
The Crows are a lethal but merry band of talented orphans loyal to Reichenbach, who have grown up developing individual talents such as pick-pocketing, knife-throwing, singing and dancing, poisons, assassination, you name it. Reichenbach founded the Crows when he was an orphan on the streets of Denocte and is currently their King Crow.
The Crows make a living on the streets and in the Courts, stealing and selling secrets and gold. Their hideout is a place called "The Thicket", where all meetings take place.

The Night Markets are the hub of Denoctian diversity — find wares from every continent, whether they be silks and perfumes from Vectaeryn, weapons or woodwork from Brynjar... or simply some of Novus' own delights. If you cannot find what you are searching for within the Markets, then you're not looking hard enough! Denoctians hold stalls alongside merchants from all over, and the smell of delicious foods are never far from the nose, sharing the air with spices and all manner of other scents.
Music brightens the air and there are often performances from locals or travellers, all lit up by the ever-burning bonfires of The Night Court.
