Sometimes severity is the price we pay for greatness.
Vaella felt a smile tug at the corners of her lips as she glanced down at her friend, glad to see yet another familiar face in these foreign lands. She lowered her head down and braced Jude around the neck, closing her eyes for a brief moment as she just let it sink in that he was here. Vaella was not an easy person to make friends with if you were an outsider to her, and so the few friends she did have she cherished. Jude was no exception to that.
As she felt him pull away she lifted her head back up once more, head tilted slightly. She knew of Jude leaving Vectaeryn but not the why or where, he had left long before she had. "You needed an adventure huh? I can understand that." Her orange-gold eyes glanced over to Mittens with slight amusement to the creature. She remembered the day Jude had ascended and was taken to the royal hatchery to choose his dragon. Only for Jude to choose a cat instead, at the time it all baffled them but now? Vaella couldn't picture Jude with a dragon at any point in his life any longer. With a slight blink at Jude's question she glanced down at him again and gave a slight smile. "Oh..to keep an eye on Isorath by orders of his mother. I'm to write to her about anything going on while here."
