JAXIS
HANDS STEEPED IN BLOOD
Two different people indeed. Jaxis reveled in the macabre, the morbid, the blood and gore of the world. She thrived in the violence she tasted on her tongue and the strength and raw power that came from overcoming physically. "I have no use for friends in Denocte. My family is there, and all I require. The rest of them can flee and hide." Her voice was cool as her ears flicked, horned head tilting just the smallest fraction to one side before it straightened. She had no use for friends, not when the world was a cold and bitter place and ran off of violence in the deepest and darkest parts of itself.
"No use for friends in general, considering. Most believe in their frail peace and hope for it." Her head shook slightly. "Only fools believe in such things." Sadly, her mother and brother, they were fools for it. She knew she would never change their minds on it, and she loved them as much as she could, no matter their choices. Her family was all she had, after all.
Still, the mare lifted her head and looked away, blinking violet eyes as she settled on a spot on the horizon, as if contemplating something. "The world is a complicated place, and many put too much faith in peace when there will always be violence and bloodshed. One cannot have one without the other." A valuable lesson she had gathered over her short lifespan already.
