Hajduk followed Toro as he patrolled the colosseum. He wasn’t out for a fight, or for sparring, but rather to do his rounds and ensure that no troublemakers were galloping through the stands or dirtying some dark corner with their hormonal teenage nonsense. A handful of soldiers were out sparring, but the mid-day sun was hot as ever, even as autumn took hold over the rest of the courts. Sometimes, Toro envied them. He would have to transition from a cloak to shield his skin to a cloak to keep him warm. Elsewhere? He might not look like a tomato after a few minutes outside. Maybe. Hajduk, of course, shared the sentiment, but was far less prone to being sunburned. Lions were, after all, made for this. Even if he was born in the mountains. In winter.

The first soul Toro came across wandering the colosseum’s halls was...oh, what was his name again? He could’ve sworn...was it an L? Liam? Louis....Toro pulled his expression into an authoritative glare as he neared, calling out, "Wandering around the colosseum, soldier?” Soldier - yeah, that worked. It wasn’t incorrect, anyway.
He looked out between the pillars at the dusty pit below. "Can’t really call it scenic, but have it your way.” The Champion huffed, his gaze returning to the stallion. Hajduk sat down, eyeing up his tiger. "Looking to get some extra drills in? You should be off today, shouldn’t you?” Toro might not remember his name - but he remembered his schedule. He did, after all, take this job seriously. (It was the only one he'd ever had, really.)
