He hadn't seen Camdis Lohir around the Castle lately - but he'd known his Regent was there. Every so often Camdis' familiar scent had brushed against Reich's path, halting him as he strode quickly through the halls, no company but the sound of his own hooves. He'd smile a moment then continue, pretending not to feel the strange comfort Camdis' presence gave him as he left the stone walls for open sky and stars. He hadn't seen Raglan around much these days either - whether that be due to the study Camdis had assigned him or for some other reason, the Sovereign couldn't say.
Today when he strode down the halls of his beloved court, Reichenbach had a purpose and a destination - he wouldn't walk past Camdis' open door, wouldn't ignore the soft, subtle smell of mint tea and parchment. He'd see the Ex-King in his chambers, a perfectly normal, natural place for a Sovereign to speak with his Regent.
The Night King stepped through the threshold, instantly enveloped in the warmth of the room, swallowed completely by Camdis' most intimate scents. He grinned, spying Raglan and shaking his skin free of those strange nerves as his gaze went to the flames behind Camdis and then back around the room to settle upon the two caretakers.
"Camdis is treating you well enough, by the looks of it."
Were his first wry words, amused and pleased to see Raglan surrounded by riches and comforts instead of straw and dirt. In a swift movement, the Sovereign of the Night Court promptly tucked his knees and lay next to his fellow orphan comfortably.
"Please, Camdis, continue"
