[P] A Note For A Champion

She moved in silence through the winter, the snow that fell from the sky more like a dusting than any kind of snow storm. She stayed silent as she walked, passing the nosiness of a festival. The celebration of the end of winter, the birds had whispered to her. But she didn't feel like participating. Not that she wasn't happy winter was ending, of course. The sun shone for such a short time and it was like she had seasonal affective disorder. Maybe that was it. Her absence from the rest of the world, from the herd and her homeland. There was no explanation for it besides that. At least not that she would acknowledge. She eyed the festival, but doesn't move toward it. But while her head is angled that way, she notices one little note on the end of a boardwalk. The ebony mare stopped to stare at it, for no particular reason other than this one seemed so separate from the others. Lonesome in the breeze that lifted it, threatening to pull it away from its fastening. Her curiosity drove her, as absent of feeling and thought as she might have been otherwise. Upon her arrival she lowered her nose, golden eyes close enough o read the inscription there. “May Solis bless you in the year to come, and may his light illuminate your searches. - Auru Geniven” Auru. She knew that name, didn’t she? She left the note as she found it and continued on her way, her mind awakening, dust falling aside as her thoughts began to take form. @Auru I did a post!!!
