She wasn't crying. Not intentionally. The sand swept into her eyes, causing her to eyes to leak fat, unwelcome salt tears. She looked pathetic, or if miraculously she didn't, the mare surely felt like it. The rosy dame let out an annoyed puff through her nostrils, pawing at the dunes. She had once witnessed many lands such as this when she was once a watcher, but now to actually experience it.. Nimue swore. By the gods, she disliked the sea of sands.
However, her quest for treasure brought her here. A wanderer at heart, a loner by choice, and a witch by blood, she traveled. The mare marveled the sun-baked dunes from a far, admiring in their beauty. But a picture was simply better left untouched. And she regretted this decision with distaste. Her greediness and self-fulfilling motives were her only salvation. Find the relic, and keep it as her own prize for information. To the gods themselves or whoever could give her what she wanted most.. her lost immortality.
So Nimue drifted, her throat dry. She watched with her one blue violet eye as the light faded and the edges of the dunes began to glow a molten gold. Her blind side only saw shadows as the evening drew darker still. Until she saw a shape materialize, an inky figure moving several meters ahead of her. Nimue stopped, curious. Watchful. She gave little thought to where she was, but still she stood still. Waiting. Watching.
