[Katniss]

Katniss watches and listens quietly to Isra as she speaks. She’s never quite understood the mare or her stories, but she supposed everyone was a little strange from time to time. But even if she doesn’t understand or believe what her queen believes, it is her duty to follow her and help aid in this court’s protection. So when another approaches her, telling her exactly what they are up against, Katniss knows that she will protect her court. Now would be a good time to bring out her armor. “…and if they shall try to kill us, then I shall protect us.” Katniss was a warrior. She had once been great in battle and the scars that riddled her coat were proof enough of that. She was build with strength and speed. She could protect them. As the birds come closer, she watches as Isra presents herself to them. She wonders if this is a smart move, but she knows she cannot encourage her to send anything else. But as the bird lands, Katniss feels the need to blindly protect her queen. And so, as Isra is finishing her story, Katniss steps closer, prepared to attack should the need arise.
