Antiope
and fate may fall down upon you

Has it already been a year since she arrived on a boat at the shores of this land? The striped woman can hardly believe it, and even more than that can hardly believe the position she has been entrusted in that time. So much has happened in the past year and yet it seems like so little compared to the life Antiope has lived up until now. Novus is practically a utopia compared to a battlefield.

She crosses the prairie at a casual trot—gait languid and long—her hair twisted up high so that it doesn’t drag against the covering of snow on the ground. Everything is blanketed in the stuff, and even the sky doesn’t seem quite sure whether it’s done with them yet or not. When it gets thick and heavy, the Regent finds she misses the jungle. It never snowed there, though she encountered it on occasion while fighting.

Ahead, she spies two shapes standing atop a knoll and her pace slows. At first it takes her a moment to pick them apart against the brightness of the world, but it’s clear that one is an equine and the other a much shorter creature. A canine of some sort, perhaps. The closer she gets, she begins to pick out details and discovers that she recognizes the equine is Morrighan. The Warden’s voice drifts toward her on the cold air, but she can’t quite make out what she’s saying.

Antiope approaches the pair unhurriedly from behind, blue eyes bright as the sky hiding behind the cloud cover. Her steps in the snow no doubt give her away before she speaks. “I hope I’m not interrupting something,” she says, her voice trailing slightly to leave an open ended sense to the words. A glance passes between the canine and the Warden with a spark of curiosity. “Who is the wolf?”

"Speaking."

@Morrighan this is meh
