Liam Kenway

Once more, the copper-burnished stallion found himself entering Susurro Fields. There was something about them that relaxed the stallion, and the more he thought about it, the more he realized that it was because it was flat. Despite having grown up in an overcrowded city, he found himself more at ease in the open expanse that reminded him of meadows of yesteryear. Sometimes, though, he missed the enclosed spaces of the city, how he could barely hear himself think over the din of the city noises, how the clopping of hooves on the cobblestones drowned out most conversations. With the coming dusk, there were aspects of the city that could shield someone from prying eyes, and it could keep unsavory acts from being discovered. However in the open plateau of the field, there wasn't anything that could be hidden, there was a clear visual as far as the eye could see.

Even this, though, did not mean that crimes didn't happen in places like this.

Leaves — most likely blown in from elsewhere — crunched beneath the large stallion's hooves, his blue eyes sparkling as he gazed about his surroundings. Although he'd been here for a bit of time, Liam was still technically a newcomer. He hadn't explored, hadn't interacted with anyone, and more or less locked himself up in the home he'd built himself in a quiet area of the Fields. Moving around and making himself busy again seemed to be doing well for the stallion. His copper-burnished coat was quickly gathering that shine it'd once had, and his muscles were gaining dimension again. Even now, as he moved, he looked like the stallion that he'd once been, like the stallion that he'd been when he'd courted his boyfriend.

Being out and about again was kind of weird. He'd been poking his cranium out of his house every so often to try and see what was going on in his neck of the woods, or even in general. Of course, being where he resided, it was hard to get the information that he would have normally liked to have. As a former commander of an army, he was used to having detailed information, so going into things with a sense of unknown was strange. However, Novus — and his home of Terrastella — had incredibly technology, not only the most incredible advancements he'd ever seen. Once upon a time, he'd thought Agnosia to be really forward thinkers, coming up with weapons and science discoveries left and right. But Novus — and specifically Terrastella — blew Agnosia out of the water. It was almost bittersweet, he'd decided.

Libraries, shops, storefronts littered Terrastella, and when he had first arrived in Novus, he was surprised to see all that was offered. He'd found himself stopping in front of a shop, marveling at everything that they'd collected or offered for sale. They all intrigued him, and he would be tempted to go in and purchase something. But something would stop him, and it was only the thought of going back to an empty home, an empty house, and he would continue to walk away, his hoofbeats clicking against the cobblestone ground.

As he stared out at the Fields in front of him, Liam realized just how lonely he was, and he was disappointed in himself. Doing exactly what he said he wouldn't do, and he was bothered to know that this was how he was potentially viewed.
