MADDOX
LITTLE LOST LOVE
Slipping away from home had been.. easy. After all, father's death had left the place only ruled by mother, and mother never really cared. She only enjoyed her baubles and pretty things, and Maddox... yearned for more. Without the keen eye of anyone on her, she had simply tucked her wings close, ducked her head, and slipped away. Down the stairs, down the alley, turn left, right, winding through turns any which way she could go. It didn't matter to her where, so long as she put enough distance between herself and that place.
One driving force kept pushing her: she had a sibling. She had to meet them. Had to know what they were like. Had to see the world, too! So far, it seemed.. nice. There were so many equines bustling around the court, all different sizes and colors and shapes! She had never seen so many in one place, and her excitement caused her feathers to ruffle slightly, her flowers rippling on her shoulder as if alive. The petals seemed to dance in the daylight, and her eyes lit up.
"Hello!" A greeting was thrown to a stranger, who looked baffled and simply turned away, huffing and walking off. Maddie blinked in response, tilting her head a moment in surprise, her mane tumbling around her features as her phantom brows puckered in confusion. Maybe they were just grumpy? She shrugged it off, and instead took it upon herself to delve deeper into the midst of the court, nearly bouncing in an eagerness that made her smile.
