Persephone, the Lost
"I'm looking forward to seeing if I can read," she mused. She was almost sad to see her friend leave but she also appreciated that she could spend some time alone. Persephone nodded at the plan to leave in the morning without the bonded, offering a small smile to Bel as she stood. "Right, early morning. See you then!" she said, staying on the ground as Bel turned to leave.
After a while, the mare looked up at the sky to observe the stars. She was getting tired now and the warm grass felt like the perfect bed for the night. She usually slept in various places now, having no "home" to offer her a dedicated sleeping quarters. That was alright, though. The soft glow of the fireflies, the warm breeze, and the soft chirping of night insects made for a delightfully calming place to dream.
In no time, the mare had closed her eyes and drifted off the sleep, excited for her adventure in the morning with her new friend.
