Liam Kenway

This was the most quiet he'd experienced in quite some time.

The market, as he walked amongst the stalls and streets, seemed subdued, quiet in a way that felt foreign and off-putting to him. It made him uneasy, so much so that his anxiety tripled the further he walked along the market. There were so very few citizens amongst the stalls, almost like everyone had disappeared without a trace. What had happened to Dusk Court to make everyone like this? This was his home, and seeing it this quiet had him worrying about what was to come. Was there something wrong with the Sovereign? He was a slight thing; if he was sick, would he have been able to recover? There were whispers, Liam heard them as he walked along, assumptions, even quiet accusations.

As a soldier in the Dusk Court military, Liam was supposed to report these swirling rumors to his superiors, right? But wouldn't that be Rhone?

Confusion swirled in the stallion's brain, and he wasn't entirely too sure as to what he needed to do. Pausing before he officially left the Citadel and the quiet markets behind, Liam gazed at the Citadel, ears flicking backwards. He was torn. Sighing heavily, he shook his head and moved on, deciding not to bring anything up to the long-absent Sovereign. Nothing would happen, Liam was sure, and the markets and Dusk Court would continue to be silent.

Shrugging to himself, Liam moved on, heading toward the cliffs.

Historically, Liam didn't have a great experience with cliffs, but he was smarter these days. He was stronger and had more of a will to live than before. The scent of the saltwater hit him before the sound of crashing waves did. Smiling to himself, the stallion picked up his pace a little, ears pricked forward before his brow furrowed and his pace slackened at the sight of someone sitting on the edge of a cliff. Clearing his throat rather obnoxiously -- he grimaced as he did so, but how else would he announce his approach? -- Liam approached carefully. "Please tell me you're not thinking of jumping? I did it once. Do not recommend it. It's not fun, drowning," he admitted, turning his gaze to the crashing waves beneath them.

"Liam Speaks."
