the way of the wolves
It is a bright, clear day in Terrastella and a maned wolf named Neema finds herself in the meadow for a hunt. She hasn't eaten in a short while and can already feel her stomach grumbling and begging for food. She decides the fields are a good place as any to catch some smaller prey for a quick meal.
Neema moves slowly and uses all of her senses to detect any sign of prey. It takes a moment, but she notices the tall grass swaying ahead and the scent of rabbit reaches her nose. Her ears perk up as she slowly stalks forward while being careful not to give away her location. She gets a glance of it between a break in the grass and sees it sitting there. The rabbit so far does not notice her and continues to happily munch on some blossoms. Neema waits for the opportune moment before pouncing which would hopefully be once the rabbit turns away from her.
Before she can go forward, something else pounces on the creature with one swift movement. She lifts her head higher above the grass and frowns. As she walks towards where the other creature has stolen her food, she realizes that it's a timber wolf and it has already started eating. When it notices Neema, it snarls a warning and is obviously protective of its kill. Deciding it'd be better not to start a fight, she tucks her tail between her legs and quickly turns the other way.
Her stomach is still growling, but she feels a bit nervous to try and hunt if a pack of wolves are around. She sighs and curls up into a ball in the grass. Maybe if she hides out long enough, they will go away and then she'll have her chance to hunt.
A gnawing hunger will pester @Uzuri and she might feel a pull to travel to the fields. Upon arriving, she might stumble upon a sad and hungry looking maned wolf and be compelled to help. She may even feel an odd connection once she meets the creature.
