The gates of Denocte had opened once more, which many seemed grateful for. Noctiilucent wasn't entirely sure why they'd closed in the first place, or if it was simply an amalgamation of reasons. The former Rethian found herself drifting back towards the Terminus sea, where she had once met Messalina. A smile tugged her lips for a fleeting moment as she moved towards the peaks of the cliffs. She had frustrated Messalina and to some degree even herself. She was secretly happy for the gates to be open once more, but simultaneously worried she would be locked out of her new home. It was always a lively place, with a lovely king. Though she craved to venture out and learn more about the neighboring kingdoms, she didn't have to tell anyone she was from Denocte. The golden and ivory maiden drifted along the path mindlessly, she almost didn't notice the tanned figure with wild hair tangling around itself, and the horns atop their head.
Noctiilucent halted, hoping to remain unnoticed for a few moments at least. She watched the creature peer over the face of the cliff, and worry spiked in her for a moment. Heights had always made her feel as though she were falling, just by peering at the bottom. The desire to do so never made sense to her. She wasn't searching for exhilarating. Noctiilucent waited until their head was not dangling precariously over the face of the cliff before making a few more steps toward them. "Are you trying to dive head first into the sea?" Noctiilucent spoke, her words were concise, but there was an edge to her words. There always was, until someone proved to be non-threatening to her. She was always prepared for a fight, though she preferred to exchange verbal lashings.
"It would be a shame to perish with such an unkempt pile of hair you know. How embarrassing." She murmured in a joking fashion.
