Toulouse murmured a soft greeting, his voice low, before reaching up to untie the small scroll she carried with his telekinesis. It would seem his time here in Denocte was at a temporary end. Toulouse tucked the note within a fold of his scarves - to be destroyed at a later date, but for now it was vague enough to be safe on his person - and bid the messenger goodbye. He watched her fly away into the night, disappearing back the way she had come. It took only a few beats of her wings before she was gone, swallowed by the inky blackness.
And like the specter the note had described, he too, disappeared from Denocte as quietly as he had arrived.
