Vitreus Lake seemed to be the place that Reinhart kept coming back to. No matter what season, it always held onto its ethereal beauty. There is a bustle of life in the early morning when the light first hits the thin layer of ice on top of the surface. The horned noble moved through the still-frozen terrain almost effortlessly. The paths to and from the lake were well worn into the frozen ground by now by the many inhabitants of Denocte. Reinhart had half expected himself to be alone out here, but the closer he got to the lake, the more noises he heard. Soon enough he broke the tree line and spotted a semi-familiar form of a mare he recalled as Syn. She danced along the shoreline through the snow beneath the first rays of morning light.
Reinhart chuckle to himself as he watched her enjoying herself until she paused long enough to take a drink from the still ice-cold water. The gray bronc felt a buzz inside him once more as he began his descent down the gentle slope towards her. The buzz that he'd had all his life in Novus had returned, and the conversations he had with others were no longer painful. The bronc imagined that was because he was finally settled back into his home. Part of him was surprised the feeling returned, and that his social demeanor had returned since he'd left his once-fiance Evander. It hurt less each time he thought of that name, but it still hurt. Reinhart masked the flicker of pain on his face as he drew closer to the mare.
"Looks like you were having fun, I hope I'm not intruding."
