she walked in moondust
and stars were sprinkled in her hair

If she was a singer of storms as much as the storms sang to her, then the howling winds of the mountains were a chorus, beaconing her deeper into the mist. Ebony wings fell into smooth swoops, her body suddenly engulfed in the heavy mist shrouding the mountains. Above her was an open sea of clear skies, hidden by the fog kissing her skin, and far, far below her.. a hidden patch greenery still holding onto summer's warmth with desperate hands. The stormsinger dipped and dove, like a falling star as she fell. Swirling in long circles, until her hooves danced along the edge of the earth.

She did not notice another woman hiding in the glittering mist. At least.. not at first.

Aislinn gingerly stepped along the dry soil and the uncommonly bright green patch of grass. All around her, the mountains rose, a wall of towering rock and stone. Her bright orbs were shining flames in the grey, until her ears caught the subtle brush of a sigh, almost hidden through the mountain winds. She nearly dismissed the noise, her crown tilting to the side as her nostrils flared. Her gaze shifted, turning the world on it's side, until the fog opened up and she saw her.

Ahead of her, a woman stood. She took note of her soft wings, but it was her color that stood out to her. Like a blooming pink rose, she stood out like a flower against the backdrop of grey stone. Aislinn, transfixed by her beauty and also a wandering soul, offered a smile, as she stepped forward and said, "Well hello there."
