thoughts would be broken, though adjusted quickly. her gaze would turn to the man standing there, questioning her like a nosy patron of a purchasing establishment. a store, yes. this was not a bookstore, however, and she had no obligation to answer him. her eyes would flicker away from him, walking a few paces to another table to bend over. it was by his second query did she turn back, half-lids viewing him with a deadpan expression. so he had been here before, hm? and judging by his words, he had found nothing 'interesting' and worth his time. shameful. she was not going to take him at his word; she was going to look for herself. some speck among Novus had to have something useful.

else why would she continue to stay here? it would be a waste of her time. a seeker of knowledge needed constant stimulation. they breathed facts. spoke riddles. "unless you should count Fifty Ways to Properly Bow a topic of interest" she would pause, eyes briefly upon the scroll at the nearest table next to her before turning back to him "then no. nothing thus far." why did he even bother to... well, bother her? this was a library. were you not supposed to keep to yourself and ask not silly questions? everything was provided for such queries. all you had to do was make the effort to look.

apparently, he was not.

@Toulouse
