hier, a man predisposed to laughter, cannot help the grin that cracks his face when he recognizes the other man had nearly plowed him over in his sudden appearance. Oh! Excuse me! Khier has half the mind to tell the other man not to take him so seriously; but when True barks, he cannot blame him. “I’m the one who should apologize, for my companion’s poor manners. True, knock it off.” The large white hound is scarcely deterred by Khier’s command, and spends several more seconds barking before deciding that Willfur poses no immediate threat.
Exasperated, Khier shrugs his shoulders. “There is nothing to apologize for. I’m glad to be joined! I just don’t normally meet others here. It’s where I come to think, sometimes. I’m Khier. Are you also a resident of Delumine?”
