There was a flame bubbling in their chest. It echoed with a dull roar, felt at the end of their wings, each hoof, and resonated with each throb of their ankle. This was stupid, this was degrading. The ankle had been bandaged, and if the tears and rips in it were anything to go by, it wasn't by their choice. Already the saurian horse was trying to remove it. They didn't believe in any of this medic bullshit either. The scars that litter their body proved they had made it just fine prior with out 'medical aid'. Hell, when they had received these, it had been in a humid place where infection was easy to catch. This was no big deal.

Pangaea paused to throw themselves to the ground, a sneer on their muzzle as they attacked the bandage again. The jostling of the limb made the attempts short, less elegant than normal, bur after a few days of fighting the pain to tear through the fabric, it finally gave up under the stress. Pangaea sneered as it fell away from their ankle, gaze cold at the herb packed bites marks.

They stood awkwardly, weight off the limb, before they awkwardly jumped into the air. Rapid, frantic beats of their wings kept them barely aloof long enough to gain momentum up, and then they flew, relief as the pressure was removed from the tender limb. While the left leg was definitely no walk in the park either, but it was nothing like the stress and struggles of their right ankle.

Their eyes fluttered briefly, spotting the rushing River below, and wings banked to the left. Powerful thrusts brought them in for a landing, carefully drawn up, flaring out to allow a light touch down, making sure to favor that right ankle. Still, they stumbled, almost collapsing under the pain when they put weight to it. Stepping slowly into the water, Pangaea closed those slitted, reptilian eyes, sneering with a flash of fang, and as the water washed the packed vegetation away from the wound, cleaning it out painfully, while Pangaea forced themselves to stand still. Teeth gritted, shoulders tense, the saurian mare snorted aggressively, tail twitching before finally opening their eyes to realize they had no idea where they were now either. How fucking perfect.

Notes: she's crankier than I thought. She's likely gonna have more wounds mentioned in the next post depending on what happens in the next teryr attack.
