Sonmael
"one side of a coin."

Sonmael arrived in a rather rough way, he could not immediately pinpoint what exactly had happened yet he only felt sudden despair when he knew he was in an familiar yet unknown place – alone. While he was usually clear-headed, a rational thinker even, none of that was visible now as he took in his surroundings while slowly standing up.

Next, came an intense pain that seemed to course through his entire body, paralyzing him on the spot and making him remember the few moments that happened before he arrived here. There had been a storm rolling through the land and he had been caught up in it when he tried to get home after running an errand, but right before he could cross the gate of their home, lightning had struck him. It had momentarily taken him out, making him fall down and close his eyes. When he opened them.. he was here.

Once the pain subsided is when he could think clearly again, despite the energy still simmering in his bones. Now.. he needed to know where to go from here. Should he stay in this place – hoping his brother had somehow arrived with him or should he find shelter for now? He knew could not stay walking around forever – especially not with the weird feeling he held in his body, which he chalked up to the lightning strike. It did kind of strike him as odd, though. He had been hit, but outwardly his body didn’t look like it had been affected at all, other than the ache he was feeling himself.

Not something he was ready to think about now, first… he needed to survive through the clutches of winter and find his brother, his father, anyone he recognized or could trust right now.

Cordelia

you are a vast forest
full of beautiful and vibrant stories

T
he plains in Ruris provided a little relief for Cordelia's aching body. After the Teyryr battle, she'd come out with more than a few wounds. She was rustier than she remembered given the fact that the bird had been able to knock her out during the battle. A storm had rolled through the plains earlier while she was hunting for rare flowers and she'd had to take shelter in the tent she'd brought with her. After packing it back up and settling it on her back she set back out on the hunt, although she was curious about the areas that had been struck by lightning out here. Cordelia hadn't been expecting to find much let alone another equine. When she came upon a flaxen coloured pegasus she was a bit surprised. The small mare smiled warmly to the stranger as she approached. They looked a little dazed and she innately worried that they were okay given that a storm had just blown through.

"Are you alright?" She called out and picked up her pace to a trot so that she could close the distance between them. Cordelia winced with a few of the steps from the damage she'd received to her shoulder. Still, the old adventurer wouldn't change the experience for anything in the world. Reminiscing would have to wait though, as Cordelia approached she noted that the strange definitely looked more than a little disheveled. "Were you caught in the storm too? Were you hurt?" She asked in a grandmotherly tone. "If you were hurt I can't do much for you, but I can take you somewhere that can."

The mare offered again with a sweet but concerned smile. "I'm Cordelia." She introduces herself in the hopes that the stranger won't be weirded out by her overly friendly nature. It didn't bother her in the slightest, but she knew not everyone was fond of her approach even if she ended up adopting them in the end anyway. Cordelia was firmly determined that everyone needed someone who cared for them in their life.

@Sonmael
I couldn't resist <3
